Mikey Madison deserves the Best Actress nomination for this!

After watching this film, I was captivated by the concept of a Cinderella tale that gets slapped back to reality, serving as a harsh cautionary tale instead. It's undeniably tragic and sometimes even traumatizing, yet you—and possibly Anora herself—couldn't help but wonder “What else did you expect out of this?”

The comedy is well-executed, although I did find myself wishing for a bit more depth in other areas. The pacing felt a bit off at times, dragging when it could’ve picked up the pace, and I wanted to dive deeper into Anora's thoughts through certain scenes. Also, while I understand that this aligns with Ivan’s character, I still hoped to see more of his emotional side to enrich the story.

Overall, I liked the movie and found the story engaging, though it didn't leave a significant impact on me personally. Still, I’d definitely recommend giving it a watch.
