"Captain America: Brave New World" feels like an extended episode of "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier," lacking the reintroduction and depth needed for Sam Wilson as Captain America, or even as a person. The story maintains the same beats and tone that align with the TV series. To make matters worse, they attempted to connect it to *Incredible Hulk*—a 2008 film released even before *Iron Man*—without providing a proper reintroduction and sufficient context. Casual Marvel fans may find themselves confused about who these characters are and why they should feel invested in them.
While the concept has potential, its execution falls short. There isn’t much of a hook aside from a few action sequences.
The cinematography is uninspiring, and the score fails to create an engaging atmosphere, making it difficult to feel much tension throughout the movie. While there are some good speeches sprinkled here and there, they cannot carry the underwhelming narrative of the film.
That said, it’s still decent and enjoyable, but it doesn't capture the magic that once drew audiences back into theaters like Marvel used to.
