Alien: Romulus succeeded in creating tension and atmosphere throughout the movie. While the plot was predictable, it still managed to keep you on the edge of your seat, prompting you to silently urge the characters to “Don’t Breathe” (pun intended, of course).
The third act was exceptionally creepy; however, I believe we were exposed to the scariness for too long, which diminished its effectiveness compared to what the filmmakers intended.
