Gentleman Jack is a captivating show that shines a spotlight on the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people in the 19th century, drawing from the real-life diaries of Anne Lister, an English landowner, and a butch lesbian.
The series does an excellent job of highlighting the legal and social barriers they had to overcome, while also showcasing their courage and resilience. One of the moments for me was when Anne Lister confidently strutted through the streets of Yorkshire.
Villanelle from Killing Eve embodied the ideal queer character people dream of. Who wouldn’t love someone with such a charming and unpredictable nature with a good sense of humor, even though she was a literal killer? 😂 And her fashion sense? Iconic. The dynamic between her and Eve was truly something special. The way she played off Eve's more reserved demeanor created an electrifying chemistry that kept me glued to the screen.

Love Lies Bleeding is like stepping into a dreamy world of a queer love story. Jackie and Lou are absolutely mesmerizing together, with their toxic yet endearing love. I literally put their love above all the bloodshed in my lettering piece to match the movie title Love Lies Bleeding.
One of the best parts of this film is the rare portrayal of strong, muscular women in such a beautiful way.
I love Orphan Black, and Cosima is my favorite character out of all the amazing ones played by Tatiana Maslany. Her character is a perfect blend of intelligence and warmth, with a quirky, nerdy side that I find so endearing. Her passion for solving problems only matches her love for her loved ones. And let's not forget her relationship with Delphine, which started rocky but became incredibly strong as they faced tough challenges together.

The exploration of gender fluidity and the acceptance of varying gender identities is so important. Gender fluidity is real, as is the lack of gender, like being agender. I hope people can accept these identities instead of questioning their validity.

I love Darryl from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend so much. It’s so refreshing to see a late bloomer discovering their sexuality after a divorce and being proud of their identity.
"Gettin' Bi" from the show is a perfect anthem for those coming out as bisexual, and it's a clever and catchy song that deserves recognition. Check it out if you haven’t.
I also love the dynamic relationship between Darryl and White Josh in the show.
I like Elle’s storyline in Heartstopper, transitioning to an all-girls school and finding a place where she belongs as a trans girl, in a much more uplifting way than other typical trans characters on screen. I also love her passion for art. To capture all these aspects of Elle, I transformed her name into a butterfly in an artistic style. The butterfly symbolizes her life transformation and how art serves as a form of self-expression for her.
Nick and Charlie from Heartstopper are just too adorable, aren't they? I love seeing a healthy relationship that is so positive and uplifting. Their love and support for each other is goals. I believe they are soulmates who help each other grow.

Lettering Pieace of Georgia Warr from Loveless It's amazing to see representation for the aroace (aromantic and asexual) community portrayed in such a positive light in the book Loveless by Alice Oseman. This is the book I wish I could have read when I was younger. Witnessing Georgia's journey was incredibly inspiring. It's comforting to see that not feeling sexual and/or romantic attraction is okay and doesn't make you any less whole.
Today's lettering is dedicated to one of my favorite characters, Captain Raymond Holt from Brooklyn Nine-Nine! I love how he may seem cold outside, but he is fun and playful with those close to him. What I admire most about him is his unwavering authenticity and how he has overcome discrimination in his workplace. I chose a script style for his name because I believe it suits him perfectly.

I love her cool, tough, and confident demeanor. So, I transformed her name into a motorcycle and used a black leather jacket as the background to represent her iconic style in the show. 😁

The Work The Inspiration
"The 1" is the song that got me into Taylor Swift's music. I deeply resonate with everything about it. I feel like the song perfectly captures the feelings of longing and regret over a past love that you consider the best you've ever experienced. It encapsulates the bittersweet nature of "what-ifs" and the slow progress of moving on, while still clinging to the idea of being the one they’d choose in the end.
