Today is February 29th, also known as leap day, it's natural to ponder what we would do with this extra day gifted to us every four years. The concept of a leap day brings forth questions of how we value time and how we choose to spend it. What would you do with your extra day?
Would you toss it aside and waste the extra time you have?
Would you try to squeeze out these times to achieve more?
Writing is not something that comes naturally for most people, but it is one of the most powerful ways to transform ourselves. It is a journey of self-discovery, self-healing, and self-expression that can be achieved anywhere and at any time by anyone.
There is a practice called “Morning Pages”, coined by Julia Cameron, where you write down anything that is on your mind every morning to clear your mind and gain some clarity in your thoughts and life.

I have a hoarding habit, but it's not with physical objects due to my limited space. Instead, I hoard everything digitally. Photos, music, movies, books, notes, apps, and even browser tabs—I collect them all. It may seem strange, but I even hoard tasks. Recently, I had an epiphany—by hoarding things, I am actually hoarding the promises I haven't kept to myself. The evidence is even clearer when my task management apps have become a graveyard for all my unfulfilled commitments.

I finally got the invite for Scribbles!
Don't get me wrong, Micro.blog is a wonderful platform for connecting with others and sharing snippets of my life. However, it often feels like an aggregated site rather than a true blogging platform. I find myself focused on social interactions rather than delving into my own thoughts and experiences. I feel like I put on a performance there and I can't tap into my contemplative self—where I ponder the connections between the world around me and my own experiences.

Gotta love the new direction of Craft. They’ve made it crystal clear that they are all about collaboration and teamwork with their recent move. While current users get to keep their Pro plan, it’s pretty obvious that Craft wants new users to embrace the collaborative spirit. Makes sense, right? Who wants to upgrade to a pricey paid plan if you’re not utilizing all the bells and whistles? Now I have no doubts about where Craft is headed, and also no doubts that my wallet can’t handle a plan change.
Seeing trainers not teach push-ups correctly is the most annoying thing about going to the gym, especially when a client is a woman.
People who aren’t strong enough should be taught how to do incline push-ups against a wall, a bar, a bench, or anything else. Instead, they did some weird moves that aren’t even half-reps. Some trainers are still doing this, even though I once told the staff about it.
This is my first time using the micro.publish plugin for Obsidian. This could be a great way for me to post on micro.blog. I’ll write drafts in iA Writer and then publish them on my MacBook when I get home.
I could even skip iA Writer and just use Drafts for writing drafts. When I’m ready to publish, I could export them to Obsidian.
I used to do all this in Drafts, but I think it would be better to have a separate place dedicated to writing since Drafts is currently my catch-all inbox.
I Just Bought Tot Pocket!! Tot Pocket is a digital scratchpad app that only allows for 7 active notes, which may seem restrictive but is actually quite liberating.
The Reason? I want a place to scribble notes, but only for active projects and Tot is lightning fast! With Drafts, I’m constantly filtering, searching, and switching between workspaces. The colors for each dot are gorgeous! The Share Sheet is fantastic! Use Cases Project overview board URLs of relevant information Deeplinks from other apps.
After seeing the latest updates and how they’ve been communicated within the Slack community, I’m not sure whether I’ll continue to use Craft in the long run. In my opinion, this indicates a lack of market understanding of their customers.
They continued to prioritize major updates to the Business Plan and were puzzled as to why their current users felt ignored.
I’m not sure what was going on inside, but it felt as if someone had abruptly decided to change course.
I never quite understood the point of Zettelkasten until I saw this video—Implementing a Digital Zettelkasten using Block References in Roam Research with Beau Haan.
The purpose of Zettelkasten is to allow you to have a clear, informed, and personal conversation, not to organize or summarize what you’ve read. It’s all about developing your own set of wisdom that you can convey in a way that people will believe.
Your fleeting thoughts (fleeting note) are like gas that you need to condense into a liquid (literature note), using the reference source as a container (reference note), so that you can solidify that knowledge (permanent note).
I’m always a reserved person. But I think it’s time to learn how to share and be vulnerable.
As Brené Brown once talked about vulnerability, when we numb hard feelings, we also numb joy, gratitude and happiness.
So, I think it’s time for me to let all my thoughts, emotions and feelings surface to the world.
Now is the great time to be fully alive, starting by posting on this blog.
